Dr Chiara Fois is a chemical and process engineer specialising in sustainable technologies. She holds a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Sydney, as well as both a B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Chemical Process Engineering from the University of Cagliari. She is currently a Senior Research Officer at the University of Sydney and serves as the Manufacturing Manager at Rux Energy. Bridging academia and industry, she leads the scaling up of advanced hydrogen storage materials manufacturing, adopting sustainable approaches to reduce production costs and environmental impact. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with internationally recognised research groups and stakeholders on various interdisciplinary projects, including the recent CSIRO International Hydrogen Research Fellowship. Beyond her technical expertise, Dr Fois is passionate about translating engineering innovation into practical, real-world solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.
