
Associate Professor Scott Dwyer is a research director at the UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures – home to 150 staff and students who partner with government, industry, and the community to create change towards sustainable futures through transdisciplinary research.
Scott has 15 years’ experience working in and leading transdisciplinary teams as part of complex energy and transport research projects for the public and private sectors across Europe and Australia. His main research investigates the opportunities and challenges posed by the transitioning energy and transport systems, especially those related to customers, markets, technologies, policies, and business models.
His work has included providing guidance on the commercialisation of new products and services to a variety of organisations and he now leads the institute’s work on customer energy innovation. He advises on a wide range of sustainable energy technologies, including solar, storage, microgrids, fuel cell, hydrogen, and electric vehicles.
