Dr Mojtaba Ajorloo

Dr Mojtaba Ajorloo is a researcher in sustainable process development, he specializes in resource recovery and circular economy solutions for the energy transition. Mojtaba’s work centres on developing cost-effective and environmentally responsible technologies for the recovery of industrial waste streams, including plastic waste, biomass, steel-making slag, and end-of-life solar panels. With a background in chemistry and industrial research, he contributes to advancing strategies that address both environmental challenges and industrial efficiency. His current research explores scalable methods for metal extraction and the valorisation of steel-making slag, with the goal of supporting decarbonisation pathways and achieving zero-waste outcomes. Beyond technical research, Mojtaba is passionate about bridging the gap between science, industry, and policy. He actively engages in collaborative projects aimed at aligning technological innovation with the global Net Zero agenda, ensuring that resource recovery not only reduces waste but also strengthens supply chains for critical minerals.
