Dr Shujie Zhou

Dr Shujie Zhou is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UNSW Sydney, affiliated with the ARC Training Centre for the Global Hydrogen Economy (GlobH2E) and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Carbon Science and Innovation (COE-CSI). Her research advances solar energy conversion technologies for sustainable chemical production, with expertise in photovoltaic-powered electrocatalysis and photoelectrocatalysis. She develops efficient, low-cost materials and systems to produce green hydrogen, ammonia, and fuels from abundant resources such as CO₂, NOₓ, and biomass. Dr Zhou has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier international journals and leads collaborative projects with industry partners to translate fundamental research into real-world applications. She is also a dedicated mentor, having supervised five PhD and three undergraduate students whose work has received academic and professional recognition. Through her research and leadership, Dr Zhou is driving innovation at the nexus of clean energy, sustainability, and industry impact.
