NZNG NSW Assembly 2025 – Poster Presentation and Video Competition
The NetZeroNextGen committee invites ECRs (including within 10 years after PhD to account for career disruption or outstanding HDR students) to submit their poster for presentation. Selected posters will be showcased during the Morning tea, Lunch and Afternoon sessions. Attendees will be invited to vote on poster presentations throughout the day, and prizes will be awarded based on the results. Poster prizes are sponsored by the Net Zero Institute, and the ARC Training Centre for the Global Hydrogen Economy.
The Committee seeks topics that explore the emerging opportunities and challenges around achieving net zero carbon emission globally and in Australia including but not limited to the following fields:
- Hydrogen production/utilisation
- Carbon capture/removal/demand reduction
- Electrification
- Circular economy
- Clean energy
- Decarbonisation of health
- Policy and governance
- Other (please specify)
ECRs submitting posters for presentation are also encouraged to enter the NZNG 2025 Video competition. The winning prize will be sponsored by the Powerfuels including Hydrogen Network, part of NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub. Poster submission
Please download the NZNG 2025 poster template here for standardised font size, general content and layout:
By submitting a poster, you agree to the following:
- Posters represent original work;
- Posters must be on one page and in ‘PORTRAIT’ orientation;
- Posters must be A0 size;
- Format of poster must be in PDF, <15 MB in size;
- Submissions must be in English;
- All authors and co-authors and their affiliations must be listed in your poster (we take no responsibility for any errors published).
- Please name your file as follows: Surname_Institution_First word of title (e.g. Smith_UNSW_Effect.pdf)
- You agree that your poster will be on public display on the day of the event.
Video submission
Video submissions are expected to follow a 2-minute video format (submitted as a YouTube link, public or unlisted), presenting the significance of the research topic, and findings in targeting net zero emissions to a non-specialist audience. The video should clearly address the motivation, key findings/outcomes, and the impact of research.
Video entries must be accompanied by poster submission.

The deadline for both poster and video submission are 21st October 2025.
By submitting a poster you agree that your poster will be displayed publicly on the day of the event.
